Nice fit for a flat buffer tube end plate. Threads where perfect for the tube. I got the aluminum colored one for contrast . For the recessed buffer plate it is hard to fit wrench on to tighten buffer tube nut but can be done.

I ordered this in gold. It arrived and was at best dark orange. Instead of dealing with customer service, I painted it myself, which I was trying to avoid. Oh well, here we are and at least it is the right color.

I bought a chassis for they both action 22 and this piece cleaned up the look and hid the threads of the buffer to nicely. It really made everything look nicer.

The AR-15 receiver end plate/buffer tube castle nut is used to connect the buffer tube to the receiver and prevent any type of nipples from slipping off. This durable receiver end plate/buffer tube castle nut is machined from 7075 T6 aluminum for a strong lightweight platform. The machined receiver end plate/castle nut helps prevent any unwanted nipples from forming and is a crucial part of overall receiver installation. This receiver end plate/buffer tube castle nut should be installed at each end of the buffer tube instead of each individual end of the buffer tube. Please refer to your manual for proper bolt removal/adjustment.image
