Will this work for the 19X?

This should work on the Glock 19X, however you will loose the ambi-slide lock features. To keep theses features you should use a Gen 5 compatible slide.

What is the part number for the adapter needed for the gen 4? And what is the adapter needed for in the first place can’t get a clear answer

The adapter is needed to install an RMR red dot sight. The plate will very depending on the RMR you have selected here is the link to the adapter plates.

Does this slide have the same dimensions as a stock Glock 19 gen 4 slide? Will the same holster work with this slide?

Yes, the slide will fit the same holsters as a standard Glock 19.
