It should work on a Gen3 Polymer 80 frame.

it depends on which version to you have. the gen 1 will no work properly unless you do some moderate amount if modification to some of the components of the frame. and eVen after mods it will not be 100% fictional.

the gen 2 poly80 should be plug and play no mods required.
