Yes, the Aero Precision M5 .308 Assembled Upper Receiver takes the larger barrel nut. The Aero Precision M5E1 Handguard Barrel Nut located at the link below will work if you plan on using an M5E1 handguard.

No Ryan it does NOT. No the M5E1 it will not fit. The enhanced M5 handguard is for the M5E1 enhanced upper receiver.

No Hunter you are incorrect, it does not take a larger barrel nut. And it does not use the same nut as the M5E1 enhanced handguard.

No, it will not fit. The Enhanced M5 handguard is for the M5E1 enhanced upper receiver.

That link (from Hunter the expert) to barrel nut is for the M5E1 ENHANCED RECEIVER, and not the correct nut for this upper receiver. Also, this receiver WILL NOT accept the M5E1 handguard.
