1.3” is the side to side inside measurement of the S-One. At the top you have an extra 0.4 to maybe 0.45” of clearance for gas block and tube. So top to bottom is about 1.75” (with more on top than bottom). There is also a wide taper on this channel so there is some room. I have a couple of the S-Ones. Hope this helps.
