Why isn't the Bolt carrier smooth like the less expensive nitrided version which is glassy smooth. I almost thought the Pro version was phosphated.

Will the pro bcg be more accurate than the other areo bcg . Or just be more reliable.

The Aero Precision AR15 5.56 PRO Series Bolt Carrier Group is designed to increase the reliable service life of the bolt carrier group and its components compared to standard BCG's. It will not increase accuracy, however.

This Aero Precision AR15 5.56 PRO Series Bolt Carrier Group has been magnetically particle inspected, shot peened, and undergone the proper heat treatment ensured via proprietary flash-nitriding process.
