There is no way I can confirm that by using this kit you will be able to fix your problem. Your malfunctions could be stemming from just about anything. They could be caused by the bolt carrier group, magazine, gas system, buffer system, ammo, extractor/ejector on the bolt or something else. I would highly recommend reaching out to a local gunsmith to have them trouble shoot your AR or you can try to email us at techsales@opticsplanet.com, but you will need to provide ALL specifics regarding your firearm including

Parts used in the AR especially bolt carrier group and gas system
Magazines used
Buffer tube, weight and spring information

Probably the extractor itself. Upgrade it with a bcm extractor and crane oring upgrade. Pistol length gas systems are violent and wear those down

I would start by trying a heavier buffer with a stronger spring. I had the same issue and solved it with a buffer weight of 6.5 ounces and a 308/ar10 carbine spring.
