It will not, this upper receiver is made to work with 5.56/.223 AR-15 rifles only.

Ben is wrong. If your barrel is meant for an AR15 upper it’ll work. I’ve used this upper for 6.5 Grendel, 6mm ARC, .300 blackout, .224 Valkyrie etc. great buy / quality

Ben, I think your answer is not correct. Judging by all the thumbs down it received, I would think that to be the case. I believe this works with any caliber made to fit an AR15.

I must disagree with Ben, author of the No answer. This upper is perfectly suited for the 6.5 Grendel. He may have been thinking of the Creedmoor which would require an ar10 or M5 upper.

Yes it will work. The Grendel uses the same upper and bolt carrier as the 5.56. All you need to change is the bolt

It should as long as the barrel and bcg are ar15 milspec.

A 6.5 Grendel BGC will work in a standard AR15 upper, I have built several of them and they shoot great, my latest build was a AERO M4e1 lower and upper with 12" Hansen barrel, 500 yard weapon.

6.5 Grendel should work fine in this upper, it is not caliber specific. Just would not recommend wider cased rounds (.458 socom, .450bushmaster, etc) due to the ejection port size.
