Will this work on Gen5 firearms such as the G45 since it uses a G19 slide?

No, the Agency Arms Syndicate S1 Stripped Glock Slide is only compatible with Gen 3 and 4 model pistols. You would need to purchase a Gen 5 Glock 19 slide to fit your Glock 45.

How does the AOS system work? does that mean an RMR won't fit with suppressor rear sights?

The AOS System is a style of mounting optics designed by Agency Arms. Essentially, the slide is cut to allow a multitude of adaptor plates that can offer RMR, DeltaPoint, Shield RMS, and Vortex. You have to use the Agency Arms plates. If you had an RMR, you would purchase the RMR plate. If you had a Vortex Viper, you would purchase the Vortex plate etc.

Is this a "plug and play" slide? can I just change out my OEM slide with this one? Do I need to buy anything else for this slide to operate?

Yes. The Agency Arms Syndicate S1 Stripped Glock Slide will not come with any internal components. You can transfer the components from your OEM slide directly into this slide and install on your lower.
