Would this scope work on a ruger super red hawk 44mag?

Yes. This AIM Sports Inc 3-12X32 1 in. Scout Scope w/AO are meant to be mounted forward of the rifle action, or on top of a pistol slide, or revolver frame due to the extended eye relief it offers.

Yes, there are several "clamp on" style mounts available. I chose to machine an adapter that replicates the rear sight blade and attaches to the factory rear sight base, pinned in place.
