Will this mount directly to the Mlok surface of a Magpul forend for an 870 or will I need to buy rails as well?

Yes, this mount MPN:AMMC02, will mount directly to an M-lok slot and will not require an additional rail.

Will this work with the Surefire G2X tactical flashlight?

No, it will not. The ring size is too small in diameter to fit that model flashlight.

No, unfortunately the Steiner MK5 uses a proprietary size, so only their own mount will work with it.
