No, if your front sight has the bayonet lug on the bottom, as do most stock M&P Sport 2's. The third piece of the rail, which sits in front of your sight on the bottom side, hits up against that lug. Your options are to cut into the rail, cut off the lug, or do what I did: return the rail.

Uh, it fit on my M&P15 perfectly. It has a slot cut out specifically for the bayonet lug. Im not sure what these guys are talkin about. Buy this rail. Its a heavy but strong rail. Ypu camt hurt the thing.

do not buy if for m&P ar15 sport 2 does not fit because of the bayonet lug this product does account for it.

The reason it fit some M&P Sports is due to the lack of bayonet lug for ARs being sold in certain states; I believe California, New Jersey and Massachusetts are some.. so if you bought your MP Sport in one of the communist states, I’m assuming this will fit your rifle.
