This can depend on the specific rifle you intend to mount the scope to. For an AR15/AR10 platform rifle, you will want a higher mount (at least a 1.4" centerline) to allow for a more usable head position. But on a bolt gun, its preferred to use the lowest mount your scope and rifle will allow. Email us at Techsales@opticsplanet.com and let us know what you intend to mount your scope to.
