This AR500 Armor Level III 11x14 ASC Multi-Curve Body Armor Plate is not ceramic. It is a steel plate with a build-up PAXCON coating to help prevent spalling.

Ethan thanks buddy for answering my question about the plate design. Cause I really was concerned about spall. If you could would you please tell me what your opinion is concerning the ability to absorb multiple hits from a high energy kinetic energy rnds like the lapua 338. Or the weapons carried by ALOT of the (AK 47 7.62 × 39) people . Your explanation is appreciated. What are it's limitations ?? Again THANK YOU
