The AR500 Armor Veritas Modular Plate Carrier weighs 2 pounds. This is without plates, and depending on what type of plates you use, you can expect a minimum of 6 additional pounds per plate with the average plate.

The vests are designed for 10”x12” plates if they stay within that it will work.

AR500 states the cummerbunds and shoulder straps of the Veritas will adjust to fit sizes M-XXL. The Veritas is designed only for 10”x12” plates, so if you have a larger, broad torso, you may also consider a carrier that will fit larger 11"x14" plates to cover more of your cardio thoracic cavity. The AR500 Testudo would fit that bill.

Does the standard Veritas carrier have padding on it for your chest and back? Is that the main difference between the regular and lite carrier models?

The front and rear panels have padded 3D mesh for comfort and ventilation. The Veritas Lite eliminates the bulk and weight of the padding, 3D mesh, and removes the MOLLE webbing on the upper front and rear portions.

No, this is just the Veritas and does not come with the optional accessories.

You can add side plate pouches, cummerbund, front flap and other accessories.
