The ArmaLaser TR28 Touch-Activated Laser Sight has a master on/off switch located on the underside of the laser. Once turned on, as soon as you grip the pistol the laser will activate. The laser uses a contact point located on the base of the trigger guard that will sense your hand and activate the laser. The laser has a steady and pulse mode that can be changed between the two modes using the provided allen key.

There are two switches: a recessed on/off button on the bottom front of the unit which closes or opens the battery circuit, and two finger contact metal strips that function as a momentary on/off switch on the bottom rear of the unit, under the trigger guard.

When you turn the unit on with the on/off button, the laser does not shine. You have to have skin contact with the metal strips under the trigger guard to actually project the laser. So you control “momentary” by contacting the strips with a firing grip or slightly removing the top of your middle finger from the strips.
