No, this item is only compatible with the lens assembly of the IR850-XLR.

Will this work with the MSI8000 illuminator?? Also which one would provide best illumination the Msi8000 or this paired with the ir850?

How far will it work with Gen 2 Optics.

This item will help your IR Illuminator to be more powerful so it should extend the effective detection range of your night vision, but how far you can see varies quite a bit.
