No, this trigger will not fit the 1911 platform and is only for the updated 2011 platform.
A 1911A2 is NOT a 2011, they are totally different frames. And even then the several brands of 1911 Double Stacks, that only Rock Island Armory calls theirs a 1911A2, are based on the Para-Ordnance Double Stack, and they have differences. I just confirmed a Caspian Double Stack Trigger will not fit a Rock Island Double Stack (1911A2). I have tried one 2011 Trigger in a Rock Island Double Stack (1911A2) and it fits, BARELY, it will work but is too small and will have a ton of slop, the trigger pad being able to move up and down more than a noticeable amount. The trigger pad will move up and down as you squeeze the trigger, but it will let the hammer fall. So I would recommend against it, but if you don't mind an extremely sloppy trigger, that arguably be less reliable, well it might work. Can't quarantee the same for other brands of 1911 double stacks.
A2 is a 2011. Just not a Staccato or STI. How about my Nighthawk double stack ???
