Yes, this has a USB-C port for external power as well as connectivity.

Yes what he said is true except it has a USB-C connector, not micro.

Yes. There is a video on You Tube, of a recent trade show. The CEO of ATN says that you can still use the battery pack (Micro USB), if you want the battery to last more than 18 hours (Internal Battery).
