The housing and mount of these ATN NVGs (night vision goggles) are made in Russia. The electronics inside are made by ATN. This Russian made NVG mounting system will NOT marry up to an American made helmet mounting system, specifically with any mounting system made by Wilcox industries in the United States. NOTE. The Wilcox G24 helmet mounting system is standard equipment used by the US Military to attach NVGs to the shroud of US military special forces helmets.
The only way to get these ATN NVGs to attach to standard issue Wilcox G24 helmet mount, is: 1) Remove current Russian made mount from housing of these NVGs. 2) Have a machine shop drill and tap four screw holes into top of ATN. 3) Attach an accessory Wilcox mount, with screws and epoxy to the ATN housing. Now and only now can these ATN NVGs (night vision goggles), be attached to the standard military issue, Wilcox G24 helmet mounting system.
This information was provided to me by a man who has been selling high quality NVGs to the US Military and police SWAT for the last 25 years. He made the decision NOT to carry ATN NVGs for this reason.
