What is its longest range detection?

The 1.25-5x version has a detection range of 625m, a recognition range of 280m, and an identification range of 170m.
The 2-8x version has a detection range of 800m, a recognition range of 400m, and an identification range of 250m.
The 4.5-18x version has a detection range of 1500m, a recognition range of 600m, and an identification range of 360m.
The 9-36x version has a detection range of 2500m, a recognition range of 1100m, and an identification range of 600m.

This is a handheld monocular, it is not weapon mountable.

Yes, it can be used in the day or night. It is not affected by lights because it detects heat signature and has nothing to do with light. A street light will have no effect on the units reading.
