Can I still use this during the day

Absolutely. Thermal scopes can safely be used during the day. Since thermal technology does not rely on visible light, the image remains the same regardless of the time of day.

Is this scope a first focal plane scope?

Since this is a digital scope rather than a traditional glass scope, there is no true optical focal plane. Instead, the sensor captures and digitizes the image. The reticle is software-generated, allowing it to be customized, or changed.

Can you use this scope in daylight or only nighttime, thermal applications?

The ATN ThOR 4 4-40x75mm Thermal Smart HD Rifle Scope can be used during the day or night. This is a thermal scope so it does not work using ambient light like a night vision optic. The thermal sensitivity setting and contrast can be adjusted to the conditions you are using the ATN ThOR 4 4-40x75mm Thermal Smart HD Rifle Scope in.

Yes, these ATN ThOR 4 4-40x75mm Thermal Smart HD Rifle Scopes are the upgraded versions. They have the Gen 4 640x480, 60Hz, <25 mK sensor.

It is manufactured in China and will not link to the Sig Sauer rangefinder.

Will the ATN Thor 4 ballistics communicate with either a Kestrel 5500 Link or a Kestrel 5700 Elte?

Unfortunately it does not link with a Kestrel, only the ATN rangefinder.

What batteries does the Thor 4 640 use? Also, what batteries does the ABL 1000 Rangefinder use?

The Thor 4 has an internal rechargeable lithium ion battery. The rangefinder uses one CR2 type, 3 V battery.
