223 Wylde will fire 5.56 and 223 rounds. It has a redesigned chamber to provide more accuracy when you use 223 rounds in a chamber that can fire 5.56 rounds excellently. The 223 Wylde chamber will provide great accuracy with either round. I have personally been using a 16" long 223 Wylde barrel with a 1 in 8" twist rate and it does great with 223 and 5.56 rounds using 55 grain, 62 grain, and 75 grain bullets. I have not tried out any of the heavier bullets as they tend to need a 1 in 7" twist, nor have I tried out any of the lighter than 55 grain bullets.
