Can this be used for varmint even though its listed for big game?

These can absolutely be used for varmints. They work well on coyotes, and especially well on pigs. If you are thinking of something smaller than those, while you can still use the round, there may not be much left.

muzzle velocity is not listed. I'm guessing around 2250.
