How well does this stack up against Brownell‘s version?

The Barska 4x20 Electro Sight Rifle Scope has a Mil-Dot Reticle and the Brownell Retro 4X scope has a duplex reticle. Both reticles are calibrated for use with 5.56 ammo. Both have capped elevation and windage turrets and are waterproof as well as fog proof. They appear to be similar but have not tested them side by side. does this come with the carry handle rear sight

The Barska 4x20 Electro Sight Rifle Scope will not include the carry handle. Included is the optic, lens caps, and lens cloth.

Can the base be removed and the scope installed in regular scope rings?

Yes, the base can be removed; however, we do not have specifications for the tube diameter. As such, using regular scope rings is not recommended.

The Barska 4x20 Electro Sight Rifle Scope for M-16 Carry Handle Mount is designed to be mounted on the carry handle of the rifle, which typically positions the scope above the iron sights. As a result, you should still be able to use the iron sights, depending on your specific setup and how the scope is mounted. However, it may be slightly more difficult to use the iron sights while the scope is mounted, as they could be partially obstructed.
