The Barska Varmint 6-24x42 AO Rifle Scope is designed to be a varmint/rimfire riflescope. I would not recommend using it with your Remington 700BDL as it may have issues holding zero on higher caliber rifles.

This looks like the discontinued Tasco 6-24 x 42 AO Varmint/Target scope, almost exactly. Is this the same scope except for 1/8" clicks here?

Yes, similar to Tasco 6-24x40 but with finer 1/8” windage/elevation adjustments.
