I have a 25 year old Benchmade AFCK. About 5 years ago, I disassembled it by running it through the washing machine. I took it to the Benchmade factory in Oregon City, OR to see if they could do any thing with it. A week later it came back to me with all missing parts in place and with a nice factory edge. I can't attest to a lifetime warranty, but 20 years is pretty good.
