The Blitzkrieg Components AR-15 Chevron Front Sight Post does not require the front sight tool, however, it is highly recommended to use one in order to prevent damage and install correctly.

The Blitzkrieg Sight Tool is the only sight tool made to fit over the chevron sight post. The tool will work on standard posts and chevrons. But you can install the sight post without the tool by using something to depress the sight detent and manually screwing in the sight post. The tool makes it much easier and faster, but it can be done without the tool as with any AR type sight post.
