If you use this PCC Buffer Weight/Spacer in a standard carbine buffer tube, it will add 2.5 oz and shorten the stroke by .75". 5" barrel guns don't run as hard as longer barreled PCCs so it's a matter of it your gun runs well with it or not. Also, short stroking the action is not always desirable. Short stroking increases recoil impulse, and you lose the use of your bolt catch. If you use this weight with an A5/AR10 carbine buffer tube, then you would have more weight but still have full stroke. This often feels softer. If you have a suppressor, this can also be desirable.

As these guys mention, this is more on your buffer tube choice and what kynshot buffer your using. Blowback9 (the guru) did extensive testing of the various buffer tubes and kynshot options. So below is his results you can use as a guide. Hope it helps. Sadly I can't create paragraphs so it just a run on. He had the best results using the kynshot RB5000HP over the shorter kynshots. You also want a flatwire spring. With that, the spacers then depend on the buffer tube length. Carbine tube: 1 spacer. A5 tube: 2 spacers. Just Right Carbine 8.5" buffer tube: 3 spacers. If you're starting from scratch, BB9 likes the Just Right Carbine 8.5 buffer tube with the 5007 or 5015 kynshot and two spacers. Alternatively the 5000HP and three spacers gives more weight and seemed to do just as well. Seems like more mass of the latter vs more hydraulic dampening of the former. COMPROMISE OF SIZE AND MASS: For the mid-size A5 buffer tube, the 5000HP + 2 spacer weights (9.8oz.) is my first choice. An alternate for the A5 tube could be the 5007 or 5015HD + 1 spacer weight (8.5oz.). SMALLEST OPTIONS: For the carbine buffer tube (the one you’ve all been waiting for) the 5000HP + 1 spacer weight (7.3oz.) OR the RB5004 Shorty +2 Kynshot spacer weights (8.8oz.). Both seemed to feel basically the same to me but I slightly preferred the 5000HP. Note that a flatwire spring is absolutely required when using the 5004.
