Boyds Hardwood Gunstocks states that this buttstock is designed only for the Taurus Judge. Unfortunately, we do not currently carry any stocks that are compatible with the Smith and Wesson 500.

This may be compatible but this is a stock and you must follow all state local and federal laws when installing.

Will this stock replace the original stock on the tuffy models?

Yes the Tuffy models were just a thumbhole synthetic stock and forend with a picatinny rail.

Is this walnut stock the same shade finished as the original stock?

The walnut stock stain is our proprietary stain and will not match the factory original exactly, may require refinishing to match forends.
