Do I need any additional parts? So just remove the top part of a Springfield m1a scout and drop it in this wood stock and it's ready for the range?

Yes. This Boyds Hardwood Gunstock is designed to fit Springfield M1 A .308 receivers. Other manufacturers may work but only with modifications to the stock.

The Boyds Hardwood Gunstocks Springfield M1A Style 1 Stock does not include mounting screws or stock liner. So you will need those items to install your rifle in the Boyds Hardwood Gunstocks Springfield M1A Style 1 Stock.

From what information I could find, the Boyds Hardwood Gunstocks Springfield M1A Style 1 Stock 4A4001D1V117 is made from Laminate Wood and is a Walnut Color.

Will this fit a Socom 16 ?

The Boyds Hardwood Gunstocks Springfield M1A Style 1 Stock should fit the Socom 16 as with the Socom series only the barrel, gas lock/muzzle brake (all one piece) and sights are proprietary. However, it may require some minor fitting.
