Does this include the buffer retention pin? I would assume it's already installed in the tube.

It comes with receiver extension - mil-ppec, 6 position (machined from 7075T6), receiver end plate, lock nut (castle) M4, action spring, carbine buffer assembly, and carbine standard

Will this work for a .308 reciver

The buffer tube, endplate, and castle nut will work, however you would need a different spring and buffer.

No it does not come with a QD end plate and is just a standard mil-spec buffer kit.
