You would need a rail to mount the rings.
The Burris 1in. XTR Signature Rings should work with a Burris 3-9x40m scope if the main body is 1" in diameter. The 1" height rings should work fine with that scope and that rifle.
Due to the size of your objective lens, I would recommend opting for the 1.5" Burris 1in. XTR Sig Rings to allow for clearance over your barrel.
The Burris 1in. XTR Sig Rings I would recommend are the 1 inch height rings. Your objective lens is small enough to allow you to use the lowest mount option, and that is generally preferred for bolt guns.
This will depend on what picatinny mount you are using and more importantly, what optic you are using. I recommend emailing us at Techsales@opticsplanet.com and letting us know your specific setup so we can accurately recommend the correct rings.
You should be able to use the 1.25" rings, MPN: 420232.
Each ring set includes one set of the +/-0 MOA concentric, one set each of the +/-5 MOA and +/-10 MOA, and two sets of the +/-20 MOA. With these inserts, it is possible to make 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 or 40 MOA of cant in the scope mount.
Please email us at techsales@opticsplanet.com for further assistance as it will depend on the tube diameter and objective lens diameter of your scope.
