will this fit on a long action rifle such as a model 70 30-06 with dual dovetails or std rings? Im not sure if the tube will be long enough. — 2 Answers

I just mounted one on a 1990 Browning BAR in .30-06. I used a Leupold STD Base and one inch Leupold Rings. I bought the set with the front ring having the 5/8” offset on the front ring in the Dovetail. It worked out excellent.

I was going to put this scope on a CVA cascade long action 30-06 with factory installed two piece bases. That wasn't working the scope is a little too short. So I took that opportunity to order a one piece rail 20moa. Then I was able to install it
