While they do use the same foot print this just means the screws are placed in the same position. Please be aware that just because they have the same screw mounting pattern this does not mean they are the same size. The Vortex Venom and Burris Fast Fire have different dimensions. The Venom is slightly bigger than the Burris Fast Fire, so it is not recommended for use in enclosed mounts like the AR-F3.

The Vortex Venom fits the Burris AR-F3 mount with approximately 1mm clearance on each side. The holes on the mount also line up with the buttons and windage adjustment.

They both use the Doctor(Noblex/Burris/Venom) footprint. They are COMPLETELY compatible. The footprint it not just the locations of the mount screw holes, but also cut dimensions, curvature, and lug hole placement. Don’t worry about “1mm” clearance and all the other nonsense. They are designed to be interchangeable and are the same design standards.

The Vortex Venom will fit this mount, but only with a 1mm clearance on either side. The buttons and windage screw are also accessible.
