How does the thermal imager work in thick foliage

The Burris BTH 35 2.3-9.2x35mm Thermal Hand-held Monocular will be able to pick of heat signatures in foliage. However, extremely thick foliage or dense materials in the foliage like logs or branches may obstruct the view of he Burris BTH 35 2.3-9.2x35mm Thermal Hand-held Monocular.

How good is the thermal imaging work in broad daylight?

Thermal devices will be damaged if used in bright light situations: CAUTIONS
1. Do not directly expose the thermal imager to high intensity light sources such as the sun, carbon dioxide lasers and electric welding machines.

Is the claimed 400 x 300 resolution actually Display Pixel Resolution or Microbolometer Pixel Resolution?

The display pixel resolution is 1280x960 color LCOS, the thermal resolution is 400x300.

What is the warranty on the internal battery? Can it be replaced?

You would work directly with Burris to warranty any battery issues and they would handle any service/repairs.
