Does the sight come with a Picatinny mount

No, it does not come with a picatinny mount as its meant to be mounted to the T.M.P.R. prism sight.

Will this mount work fine on a shotgun or will the recoil be too much.

Shotgun recoil is not a problem, but this particular FastFire model is intended for use with the Burris T.M.P.R 5x optic.

For shotguns, Burris makes the SpeedBead mount for the FastFire II and FastFire III - the mount fits between the stock and receiver, and is made for a variety of shotguns,
