Wouldn’t the Trybe magnifier mess with the accuracy of BDC reticle since it’s in this case calibrated for 8x?

No, the optic will continue to be zeroed at the distance you zeroed it at regardless of magnification, although it is always wise to reconfirm zero after altering the optic in any way.

For the Bushnell AR Optics Rifle Scope 1-8x24mm I recommend using the following sizes for Butler Creek Flip Open Scope Covers. For the objective lens you will want Butler Creek Scope Cover size 02A. Bushnell does not state the diameter of the magnification ring, so I recommend using the sizing chart to measure your Bushnell AR Optics Rifle Scope 1-8x24mm to determine the best fit. The objective lens cover can be found at the link below, and the sizing chart can be found on the left side of the product page.

The Bushnell AR Optics Rifle Scope 1-8x24mm has multi coated lenses. This treatment will help increase light transmission as well as prevent moisture from collecting on the glass.

Will this Bushnell ar optics rifle scope work without batteries?

Yes, the Bushnell AR Optics Rifle Scope has an etched reticle so you can still use the rifle scope if the batteries die or don't use a battery. In order for the illumination to work you will need to use the battery.
