What is the difference between 1st. & 2nd. focal plane? Why is one preferred over the other?

A
Answered by JOSHEA, guest, from TX, United States, on April 24, 2019

SFP retical stays same size no matter what zoom setting your on. FFP the retical adjusts size depending on what zoom setting your on. FFP scopes are better if your going to range with your retical. With a SFP scope, you have to use a designated zoom setting to range with your retical.

Bushnell does not have the outer diameter published, but you can base the rings/base you need on the objective lens diameter.

A scope with a 50mm objective lens is going to need a minimum of high scope rings. I'll drop a suggestion below for rings that will attach directly to the action, as well as a picatinny base and rings that would attach to a picatinny base as well.
