what is the difference between the SBF and SBL models of the Bushnell Prime 1700?

A
Answered by Brian, member, from NC, United States, on January 01, 2023

The SBF is just simplified packaging and the SBL comes in the actual box it's supposed to be in. So basically you're being charged extra just to get it in the box it's supposed to come in.

can the 1700 be used for golf? and if so,which mode is the best?

The Bushnell Prime 1700 6x24 Laser Rangefinder could be used for golf but may have some features that would not be all that necessary. I would recommend using the Bullseye mode if you are want to measure the distance of the pin at the hole.

The Bushnell Prime 1700 6x24 Laser Rangefinder does not have an illuminated reticle. However, the Bushnell 6x24mm Prime 1800 does have an illuminated reticle. That range finder can be found at the link below.

This would not be the best option for golf. You would want to find a first target priority rangefinder.

can this be used on a golf course to find distance to the flag

Expert Answer

It will not work well, this is designed for hunting, so it has second target priority. You would need a golf rangefinder that has a first target priority.
