No, this Barrel is not threaded for chokes but can be. Yes, this barrel can safely shoot slugs.

How much of a difference does the ported barrel make in terms of recoil? Is it significant?

Is front sight removable? Can this barrel be fitted with ghost ring style front sight?

The front sight is removable and threaded for a 3x56 thread. This hole could be tapped for a larger size if need be.
