No, the CCI Ammunition Maxi-Mag .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire 40 Grain Total Metal Jacket Rimfire Ammunition is not compatible with an M&P15-22. This is .22 Magnum ammunition, you will need .22 Long Rifle ammunition, which can be found by using the link below:

The CCI Ammunition Maxi-Mag .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire 40 Grain FMJ ammo can be used for practice. The Speer Gold Dot .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire 40 grain Gold Dot Hollow Point ammo located at the link below would be a good choice for self defense. Be sure to check with the manufacturer to ensure there is not certain ammo they recommend not using in that gun.
