The CMMG, Inc 22LR Mk4 Upper Receiver Group is designed to work with any Mil-spec AR15 lower receiver and the CMMG .22 LR conversion magazines.

Are MP 15-22 magazines compatible with this or are the mp15-22 mags proprietary only to specific mp1522 product and cant be used with other 22lr ARs?

This CMMG, Inc 22LR Mk4 Upper Receiver Group is compatible with CMMG .22 conversion magazines in a standard AR15 style lower receiver. It will not work with M&P-15 22 magazines.

Does the bolt that comes with this upper require a buffer, spring and tube to travel into to cycle?

The CMMG, Inc 22LR Mk4 Upper Receiver Group does not require a buffer system in order to properly function.

Will this upper work on a pre-ban AR15-A2 with the large diameter screw together front pivot pin?

If you use a Push Button Front Take Down pin that passes all the way through and with pop out bearing, you could fashion an adaptor to fill the gap between Larger Lower mount hole and locking pin. Brass tubing could probably be fashioned to fill gap. Some outer grinding or inner drilling may be required. I have a Front Pin Adaptor for using Large Hole Uppers to new version Lowers. I'm not aware of an adaptor for the other way.
