The Columbia Portlander Shoe is a hiking shoe. It does not have any insulation to provide warmth for cold/snowy days. It does feature a waterproof textile upper, however, which would help prevent water soaking into the shoe from walking through snow. Although ultimately, this is not a winter shoe.
