Yes, the ProChrono will register shotgun shells. It is recommended to use a distance of 5 feet between the muzzle and the chrono.

Yes, the ProChrono will register 5.56/.223 rounds. It has been tested with a .17 Remington cartridge at over 4,000 FPS

The ProChrono DLX has a 1/4-20 insert molded into the case bottom to accept any standard camera tripod.

Yes, there is a mode in the app called "remote only" which emulates the front panel of the chronograph. It can send commands and show the readout, but is intended for those who want to maintain the shot data in the chronograph. No data is stored in the mobile device.

It measures velocities in feet per second but can be switched to meters per second, the process is outlined in the instructions.
