Yes, the ProChrono will register shotgun shells. It is recommended to use a distance of 5 feet between the muzzle and the chrono.

Yes, the ProChrono DLX will read the shot mass from a shotgun. It is recommended to stand back 5 ft from the muzzle to the chronograph. The diffuser hoods are not necessary in this application
