will the cover secure if I use my 20rd glock mags? and does it hold the mags secure if the flap is not secure?

The Velcro should be long enough to secure the top flap with 20rd mags.

It is MOLLE/PALS, so it will attach to a belt but it will not be secure.

This is a universal fit magazine pouch. It should accommodate most magazines single/double stack unless it is an obscure caliber like 5.7.
