On a soft-recoilling platform like an AR, you shouldn't have any problem.

I installed 45 degree magpul steel sights, works great. Just angle your rifle to the right slightly and your sights line up great. Takes a little practice, but an amazing optic, long battery life. you'll probably never use iron sights.
