Crimson Trace makes AWESOME laser/light pistol units They make both units which are rail mounted under the barrel as well as grip activated laser that are pressure activated right where you'd want it to be, under your trigger fingers. That way you can literally shoot from the hip and never have to raise your weapon to your eye again !!! BTW ... Green laser light is much preferred over the red laser as its much easier for your eye to pick up because your eyes/brain is so accustomed to seeing bright LED red dots on virtually everything electronic whereas Green laser is pretty much unique. The green is a bit more money but well worth it !!! I have the grip laser on all my 1911 Kimbers and now on my 1911 Sigs/ My carry and concealed weapon is a Sig Ultra Carry ( 3.3 in barrel ) 1911 .45. I can easily draw my weapon and the pressure from my hand on the grip activates the laser and I am on target almost instantaneously. NOT having to put you weapon in front of you eyes is amazing and you'll quickly learn to appreciate not having anything blocking you entire field of vision. Whereever that laser dot is is precisely your point of impact !!! That is once you site it in which is really a snap.
