Is this barrel drop-in or must it be headspaced and fitted?

I recommend you check headspacing any time you assemble a firearm. Ensuring proper headspacing and fitment may be an a little bit of time consuming extra step in assembling your rifle but can prevent you from having some series issues down the road.

What gas block should be used on this barrel?

These barrels would fit gas blocks with a diameter of .750". Here's a link to one that would fit.
